General Terms of Use for WOLOHO

The key points at a glance:
- WOLOHO connects you with the right people, for jobs, new contacts, events, services, apartments and more, fresh every week in our three Letters.
- We read every listing by hand before it goes out. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run random ads, and community comes before profit.
- Every Letter is free to read. Many listings are free too, others cost a fair price depending on the category (see point 6).
- You post and reply directly, with no one in between. Anyone of legal age can take part, except real estate agents, recruiters and similar platforms.
If you use the services as a consumer and enter into paid contracts with WOLOHO, you have a statutory right of withdrawal, about which WOLOHO informs you as follows:

Consumers have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us, WOLOHO GmbH, Rückerstraße 5, 10119 Berlin, email: hello@woloho.com, of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (for example, by email or letter). You may use the model withdrawal statement below for this purpose, though its use is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. For this refund, we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees for this refund. If you expressly requested that we begin performing the service before the end of the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount. This corresponds to the proportion of the services already provided up to the point at which you notify us of your withdrawal, compared with the total scope of the services provided for under the contract (Section 357a BGB).

1. General
The WOLOHO Letters are a service of WOLOHO GmbH. Every week they cover work, commercial spaces and business development (Workletter), mutual help, acquaintances, love, events, courses, services, workshops, training and retreats (Loveletter), as well as apartment rentals, swaps and searches (Homeletter). You can also sign up for special promotions, which we send at irregular intervals. Our Letters appear in German and English, though the language of the listings is not affected by this.
Private individuals, self-employed people and companies can take part. Commercial (real estate) brokers, comparable platforms, employment agencies, headhunters and the like are excluded.
2. Subscribing to Letters
To sign up, all you need is your email address, which you confirm via an activation link (double opt-in). Signing up creates a free Letter subscription. Only one subscription per person is allowed. Minors are not permitted to sign up. You can change your email address, Letter selection or special promotions at any time via “Letter settings” at the end of every Letter.
3. Cancelling your Letter subscription
You can end your Letter subscription at any time via the Letter settings or the “Unsubscribe from all Letters” link at the end of every Letter. We reserve the right to end the subscription if the Terms of Use or Community Agreements are not observed.
4. Creating listings
You create listings via the input forms on woloho.com. We review every listing and approve it before it appears in the Letter. The standard runtime is 1 week. For paid listings, you can extend it (see point 6). Once it expires, your listing no longer appears in new Letters. In your customer account, you can delete or withdraw listings. For Workspace listings (Workletter) and Homeletter listings, you can upload up to 3 photos, which are shown in the online Letter.
Customer account
For paid listings, you can optionally set up a customer account, either in advance via the navigation (Login) or at the end of the listing process. In your customer account, you manage personal data, Letter settings, active and past listings, and credit packages (see Section 6).
Responsibility and content
You are responsible for your own content. We do not adopt it as our own and are not obliged to review it under Section 7 DDG. You ensure that your content does not violate any laws, third-party rights or public morality, and that you hold the necessary rights of use. Identity details must be truthful. Placing listings under someone else’s identity can have criminal consequences.
Links are permitted, provided they do not lead to external job portals, classified ad or housing market platforms. Sexist, pornographic, racist or illegal content is not permitted, nor are offers that violate laws or public morality (including weapons, material harmful to minors, propaganda, protected animals, pirated copies, medicines and narcotics). We use manual and automated procedures to detect possible violations. This does not create any general obligation or guarantee to review all listings.
Photo uploads
Photos in Workspace and Homeletter listings may only show the space itself, without people and without third-party content such as protected works or trademarks. They must be real and depict the current condition of the property. AI-generated, rendered or virtually designed images are not permitted. By uploading, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights of use and that no third-party rights are being violated. Images that do not meet these rules are removed or rejected. WOLOHO is entitled to edit photos technically (e.g. cropping, resizing or compression) insofar as this is necessary for display.
5. Community Agreements
At WOLOHO, respectful, fair and diverse interaction matters to us. Our Community Agreements reflect our values: diversity, fairness, humanity, mindfulness, sustainability and authenticity. They apply to everyone who creates listings, receives Letters, forwards offers or responds to offers. They are part of these Terms of Use.
6. Prices
All prices are per week and include 19% VAT (gross prices). By default, listings appear for 1 week (one issue).

With Top Placement, your listing appears in its own category ahead of all others.
Extended runtime
For paid listings, you can extend the runtime to 2 or 4 weeks and save compared to booking week by week. In the Workletter, the discount is 20% for 2 weeks and 35% for 4 weeks, calculated on twice or four times the regular weekly price. In the Loveletter, the discount is 20% for 2 weeks. The longer your listing is visible, the more people you reach and the lower the price per week becomes.
Credit packages
In your customer account, you can purchase credit packages in advance and use them flexibly for your listings:

Credit applies across all three Letters and covers the add-on options Top Placement and Color Boost. It remains valid indefinitely as long as your customer account exists, but it cannot be paid out or transferred to another person.
You purchase your preferred package in your customer account under Credit Packages. It becomes available to you immediately and you apply it when creating a listing. You can check your current credit balance in your customer account at any time. How to set up a customer account is described in Section 4.
Payment
You pay for listings by credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, other displayed payment methods or with credit. You are only charged after your listing has been reviewed and accepted. In the Workletter, payment by invoice is also possible (payment term 14 days, sent electronically only). In the event of late payment, we carry out new orders only against advance payment.
7. Refunds
You can request the cancellation of your listing as long as it has not yet been published. Please contact us for this, ideally before the relevant submission deadline (Workletter: Monday 14:00, Loveletter: Tuesday 14:00, Homeletter: Wednesday 14:00). In this case, we refund any fees you have already paid. The fee for the Link Service remains payable even if a listing is canceled before publication.
In all other respects, the statutory provisions on the right of withdrawal apply to consumers. The details are set out in the withdrawal instructions.
8. Rights of use
You grant WOLOHO GmbH a simple, non-exclusive, geographically unrestricted right of use, insofar as this is necessary to operate the platform, publish your listing, promote it and archive it. The WOLOHO Letter is protected by copyright as a database and may be forwarded unchanged as a whole, but may not be altered or incorporated, in whole or in part, into other databases.
9. Liability
WOLOHO GmbH is liable without limitation, in accordance with the statutory provisions, for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of WOLOHO GmbH, its legal representatives, or vicarious agents, as well as for culpable injury to life, body, or health.
In the event of a slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations, WOLOHO GmbH is liable only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The above liability provisions relate exclusively to the liability of WOLOHO GmbH. To the extent permitted by law, WOLOHO GmbH assumes no liability for content, information, or the conduct of users, or for contracts concluded between users or with third parties.
10. Data protection
We handle your data carefully, treat it confidentially and pass on personal data only within the scope of the privacy policy and statutory provisions. By signing up, you consent to storage. You can have it deleted at any time. Everything else can be found in our privacy policy.
11. Final provisions
We are reachable Monday to Thursday. Please report listings that break the rules, violations and dubious offers to hello@woloho.com. WOLOHO GmbH may change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time without notice, in particular if proper operation cannot be ensured for technical or legal reasons. Changes apply only to future contractual relationships. Existing users are informed of this in good time. German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin, to the extent legally permissible.
