Community Agreements
At WOLOHO, people come together to help one another. These agreements apply to everyone who takes part, whether you post a listing, read along, forward one or reply to an offer.
How we treat each other
Everyone is welcome here, whatever your background, skin color, religion, gender or identity. No one stands above anyone else, and there’s no room for hate, contempt or exclusion. We talk to each other in a way that leaves no one out, and we describe what we offer honestly and precisely, with fair rents and without unnecessary jargon. That openness builds trust, and everything that grows between us here rests on it.
How we communicate
Anyone who reaches out deserves a reply, and anyone who arranges a time sticks to it. We keep it clear how we reach our decisions, so everyone gets the same chance. We take responsibility for what we write, especially online, where a tone is easily misread. No message has to be perfect, and a friendly word with a bit of humor usually gets us furthest. When something does go wrong, we assume the best and sort it out calmly.
How we look out for each other
When things get tense, we talk with each other instead of about each other, and we listen before we judge. Just as much, you’re allowed to look after yourself, you don’t have to respond to everything right away, and you set your boundaries where you need them. What someone confides in us stays between us, and where something gets out of hand, we don’t look away, we speak up. When you post a listing, our Terms of Use and the applicable legal regulations apply, and everyone is responsible for observing them.
